As a photographer, I am showcasing abandoned places that I have visited for many years to explore the themes of extinction and transformation. Creating images all over the state of Illinois, trying to connect meaningfully with the forgotten world and myself. I have explored the themes of extinction and transformation for a period of four years. Enjoying photographing once thriving structures that have transformed into decaying, dilapidated, abandoned places. Hoping to create a meaningful connection between the forgotten world and myself. In this way, my work has become a reflection of myself. All the images captured show a quiet and calm landscape, mirroring how I am as a person.
